Since October of 1992, The Recovering Communities of Step Ahead (RCOSA) has provided a safe, sober, and reasonably affordable housing to those new in recovery. Generous donations make it possible for RCOSA to provide individual and group counseling, educational group, 12 step meetings, and other therapies at the homes. RCOSA is proudly a 501c3, non-profit, tax-exempt organization; our focus is on recovery, not profits. We are a Recovery Community of newly sober resident located in the lakefront community of Edgewater, IL providing reasonably priced sober living with an exceptional program sponsored in part by our generous supporters.

Recovery is a life-long process; therefore, we created the uniquely inclusive RCOSA Recovery Community sober living facility with groups and recovery sessions preparing the residents for long-term recovery. The donations provided give more groups and special events which introduce our residents in the sober community.
